Re: “Neighbors Protest Road Widening on Forest Hill

Ms. Graziano's statement, as quoted here, is inaccurate. The city has done a VERY poor job of informing us of meetings related to this project. That includes Ms. Graziano's office as well. For example, on on occasion, for an important meeting, she informed ONLY people along that corridor, not in related areas. She has come out for this project and has minimized opportunities for those opposed to voice their opinions publicly.

Also, the changes along the way have been extremely minimal and the engineering methods are 30 or more years out of date, but DPW, as well as Ms. Graziano, have not taken voiced concerns into consideration since the start of this project.

In the words of a member of the Urban Design Committee, whom I talked to about this, this is definitely a grant-driven proposal and what it does to the neighborhood is horrible.
