Re: “Continental Divide Coming to RVA

Malcolm Mitchell is a hack. How is it possible, that one can stay up until the wee hours discussing the topic of food when he has clearly shown us through the unpalatable garbage he has offered richmond, that he is entirely ignorant on the subject? Whether it be the grossly overcooked greenbeans with cherry tomatoes, the sad, barely laughable, abomination, of shrimp and polenta (a shameful rendention of the classic shrimp and grits, but, with ketchup water for sauce and an obvious, pre-peeled, frozen, water logged, again overcooked shrimp product)or his vinaigrette which has been said by some brave insiders, to contain raw chicken marinade. It's a wonder that Richmond hasn't experienced a rash of salmonella poisonings. It doesn't appear that the cards reading"d.j., entertainer, chef" or the glossies resembling those of which you are likely to receive from a vegas hooker, have done much to improve his self proclaimed, culinary prowess Since his arrival. In a city that seems to be forced to swim in a pool of culinary mediocrity, why does it seem acceptable to shove us in the deep end only to be sunk down to the drain? Maybe(I'm generalizing here folks) as Richmonders we've become complacent. Maybe, we're content with ketchup water over our garbage.
