Re: “Seeking Salvation for City's "Crappy Farmers' Market"

A few years ago, 17th St farmers market was hopping due to the variety of vendors. It was successful in part to growers like Amy's Garden that provided great produce and flowers, and it was a hip place to go. There is a fabulous market in Brooklyn that does it well by providing breakfast vendors and big time producers of high end cheese, poultry and meats, pastries, produce and plants, etc. All the restaurants in the area purchase in bulk there which makes it economical for the vendors. The secret is to make it consistently outstanding.
