Join us for a tapestry of fun as middle school girls join forces with professional women to learn all about materials science in this overnight adventure. Explore the textile industry from e-textiles to medical textiles and more! Discover the many ways materials science is part of your everyday life in hands-on workshops and learn about materials science careers through a guest speaker. Explore three floors of Museum exhibits and watch a giant screen movie in the Dome. Bring your best problem solving skills, your outstanding ideas and your imagination!
Pre-registration is required; $15 per child and $15 per adult. One adult chaperone is required for every four girls. Call 804.864.1400 to register or for more information. Girls in Science Camp-In is recommended for middle school-aged girls and is sponsored by DuPont.
