This documentary film by Sasha Waters Freyer, the chairwoman of Virginia Commonwealth University’s film and photography department, is the first on the life and work of photographer Garry Winogrand. His once derided snapshot aesthetic is now our universal language on things like Instagram and Facebook. The filmmaker will hold a discussion with Sarah Eckhardt of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. 6:30 to 9 p.m. $5-$8.
