We are pleased to partner with Fountain Bookstore to present an evening with National Book Award Winner and Pulitzer Prize Finalist Nathaniel Philbrick. Mr. Philbrick will speak in the Robins Family Forum at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture about In the Hurricane's Eye: The Genius of George Washington and the Victory at Yorktown, the final book in his American Revolution trilogy.
Nathaniel Philbrick is the author of In the Heart of the Sea, winner of the National Book Award and the basis of the motion picture Heart of the Sea, directed by Ron Howard. He has also written Mayflower, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize; Valiant Ambition, winner of the George Washington Prize; Bunker Hill, winner of the New England Book Award; Sea of Glory; and The Last Stand. Philbrick’s writing has appeared in Vanity Fair, The New York Times Book Review, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and the Boston Globe.
Following the talk, Mr. Philbrick will sign copies of his book. Museum members who pre-order books before the event will receive preferred seating. A portion of all book sales goes to support the Virginia Museum of History & Culture.
