Join Firehouse Theatre for mimosas and bagels and participate in the creative process of making a new play. First Drafts and Bagels program is geared towards providing opportunities for playwrights to test 20 to 30 minute pieces followed by a chat with audience members to collaborate on further developing pieces. In "Stray Cat Strut," two women find themselves locked in a cat rescue facility overnight and must survive the cattiest of challenges: each other. Exploring social and economic differences, this one-act play considers the possibility these two women are more connected than expected. Inspired by Edward Albee's "Zoo Story," "Stray Cat Strut" delves into secrets, identity, class, territory and the ways in which we neglect one another.
