First Chapters Book Discussion
A reading group that reads the first chapter of a recent work of fiction together, out loud, then discusses it. This month, we'll read the beginning of Cicely Tyson's Just As I Am and discuss other powerful memoirs and biographies of deep people. Library staff supplements each month with some readers’ advisory on titles related, read-alikes, or genre guidance. As part of a pilot, this group will meet virtually twice per month through August, at 12pm – 1pm and 7pm – 8pm on last Wednesdays. Come to one of the two sessions.
