The First Chapters Book Discussion reads the first chapter of a recent book together, out loud, then discusses it. This month, we will read the first chapter of Nomadland by Jessica Bruder and discuss other "Reports from the Field & Stories of the Working Class." Library staff supplements each month with some readers’ advisory on titles related, read-alikes, or genre guidance. As part of a pilot, this group will meet virtually twice per month through August, at 12pm – 1pm and 7pm – 8pm on last Wednesdays. Come to one of the two sessions.
