The Vibrators

I don’t know how Sean McClain does it. The singer of Richmond punkabilly group, Chrome Daddy Disco, manages to book a steady stream of pogo living legends that’s truly amazing. On Wednesday, Oct. 6, seminal ’70s London punkers the Vibrators take the stage at McClain’s restaurant, Bandito’s Burrito Lounge. Though they don’t get the credit or respect of British punk pioneers the Sex Pistols, Clash or the Damned, the Vibrators were just as pivotal in bringing punk to the masses. The group’s debut album, “Pure Mania,” remains a criminally underappreciated classic of the influential era with head-bopping ditties such as “London Girls,” “Wrecked on You” and “Baby Baby,” setting the course for sing-a-long punk for generations to come. What’s more amazing is that the show is free. Yes, you read that right. Richmond dark new wavers Unmaker open for the unheralded legends. 9 p.m. banditosburritolounge.com.
