Sept. 9

Looking for an all-day live music party this weekend where there’s very little chance of the beer running out? Then head on down to Brown’s Island on Saturday, Sept. 9, from noon to 10 p.m. for the anniversary party of Stone Brewing’s first locally produced beer. There’s a diverse slate of bands on tap for Stone’s Throw Down in RVA including (starting with headliner first): Lettuce (Boston funk), the London Souls (NYC rock), our very own No BS Brass, Jeff the Brotherhood (Nashville garage rock duo), the Bright Light Social Hour (Austin psych) and Pontiak (Blue Ridge stoner rock, no kidding, which recorded on Thrill Jockey). Event happens rain or shine and costs $10. stonebrewing.com.
