Event Pick: Star Wars Christmas Party 2 at Hardywood

Dec. 16

Has it been five minutes already? “Star Wars” fever is about to spread once again. I’m not talking about annual screenings of the fantastically awful, mind-numbing “Star Wars Holiday Special,” but rather the latest installment in the franchise, “The Last Jedi,” opening Dec. 13. It’s safe to say that local rebel nerd forces and emo dark lords will be running wild. Bring your post-Wookie bliss to Hardywood Park Craft Brewery on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. for a Star Wars holiday jam featuring Richmond bands Spooky Cool, Blush Face and the Milkstains, as well as the psych-folk rock of Tinnarose from Austin, Texas. There will be door prizes, a costume contest and various themed activities. Maybe someone will even full-on baby whine like Luke Skywalker after being told to clean droids instead of pick up power converters at Tosche station. All ages. Free. hardywood.com.
