There’s nothing like a bunch of grinning pumpkins along the Boulevard to get you in the mood for Halloween, even if they are day drinking. This well-attended festival of craft beers, local food, vendors and live music — bands were unannounced as of press time — takes place along the thoroughfare from Leigh Street at Movieland to Broad Street on Saturday, Oct. 21, from noon to 6 p.m. The family fun includes a costume contest for kids all ages. Pets are allowed on leashes. Free to enter, pay as you go. Proceeds to benefit Project Local, which gives money to various small, local charities. The even happens rain or shine. scottsadditionpumpkinfestival.com.
