There are two places to get your outdoor ice-skating kicks in the Richmond area this season. First there’s the Rink, a 120-by-60-foot icy expanse recently opened at West Broad Village in Short Pump. It offers affordable opportunities for the whole family to possibly injure themselves on the ice through Jan. 18. Call 221-4242 or visit westbroadvillageicerink.com. In downtown, RVA on Ice offers the same possibilities for physical harm and seasonal delight through Jan. 3 at Sixth and Broad streets. For hours of operation and admission prices, call 592-3400 or visit skatervaonice.com. Both outdoor winter wonderlands have an abundance of events and programming planned, so be sure to check each rink’s schedules so you don’t miss out on the good stuff.
