American mythologist and author Joseph Campbell once advised us to “follow our bliss.” The directive sounds akin to the way writer and director Liz Bliss describes Light Pours In as “a healing journey through the creation of myth.” The cirque-styled, multimedia show at Dogtown Dance Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 21, features live music, dance and storytelling in a whirlwind summation of the origin of man and myth. A talented crew of local dancers and musicians will help bring the tale to life, including Garth Robertson, Eric Smith, Julia “Jewels” Hartsell, Kaci Torres, Katie Bouterse, Amy Schmidt, Adam Dipert and Jeremy Lewis. Performances are at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission is $10-$20 in advance and $15-$25 at the door. lightpoursin.com or dogtowndancetheatre.com.
