Re: “Bon Air Residents Petition Against Goodwill

I guess the best way to counter protest the petition is to reach out to the property manager in support of this decision. I live in the area (Traylor Estates). I've seen and have felt saddened by the NIMBY comments on the neighborhood Facebook page. I shop at Goodwill regularly. I guess I'm one of "those people." I go there for a good deal. I go there to give used items a second life instead of being tossed into the landfill. I go there, because the inventory found at big box furniture stores are not my style. I'm glad they're filling that space. Maybe residents should put more energy in requesting a boutique style location like they have in Carytown. If anyone should be angry with anyone, they should be angry with Giant for running that Martin's location into the ground. Costing them a grocery store and workers their jobs.
