Love, War, and Country Sports, all traditional pastimes of spring, are celebrated in song from the Middle Ages and Renaissance by MIRA, Charlottesville's community early music choir.
Selections include madrigals about how fantastic it is to be alive in spring, songs of war about Agincourt and the reconquest of Spain by Ferdinand V, and songs about country sports and children's games.
The program closes with Haec Dies by William Byrd and O Clap Your Hands by Orlando Gibbons.
