Re: “Sticky Rice Sued Over Loud Noises

Welcome to the Fan. If you don't like it, leave.

If your house isn't worth as much as you paid, that's life. Learn from your failure and move on.

I apologize for being harsh, but that's what needs to be said to every single one of these neighborhood noise complaints. There are always going to be drawbacks to any situation and the restaurant scene in the fan is what makes the Fan a destination location and also what keeps the desirability in the area. Also as a property owner let me tell you without these great restaurants our property values would be even lower.

Wake up. This isn't Hot Fuzz and we can't go around closing businesses because they're too loud. Buddies, Curbside and Starlight are louder but you don't see anyone complaining because neighbors love the place and understand that "that's fan life."

My best suggestion? Soundproof your home. I stood in a condo at Riverside on the James (Haxall Pt) on the four floor river side of the building and watched a train go by 50 feet below me and could barely hear it because of the investment in nice doors and windows. Perhaps that's worth looking into Ned.
