Re: “New Independent Station Boomtown Takes Up an Unlikely Residence in Regency Square

Between WRIR 97.3FM, WNRN, WRWK, Radio IQ, and now this, Richmond is cultivating a pretty good collection of independent radio stations. Awesome!!

Re: “Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats at the National

That fella with the long hair (seated, second from right) is Richmonds own Scott Frock (Devils Workshop, NoBS!), by the way.

Re: “Boiling Over

You Church Hill people are ridiculous. I mean, really?! Over here in Carytown we have a nice quiet neighborhood where even the cupcake place sells beer. Do you know who got upset about it? No one. Chill out Church Hill. Relax. It's just a coffee shop. Beer isn't what's hurting your neighborhood. It's petty squabbles like this.

Re: “Sound Approach

Cracker's second album was titled "Kerosene Hat". The single from Kerosene Hat was named "Low".

Re: “Proposed Amphitheater Pits Folk Festival Against War Memorial

As I understand it, it's not that they're "holding the folk festival hostage"; they literally do not have another place to put the festival. Not downtown, anyway. And if they don't do it downtown, then there is no point in putting it on at all (being that the whole purpose of Venture Richmond is to bring people downtown).
I wouldn't hate it in Byrd Park, but even the beauty of the park pales in comparison to the scenery of its current location.
