Re: “On Track

Having worked with a few revitalization projects elsewhere, I'm curious, and a little concerned that there seems to be no anchor tenant in the building. This is just my personal experience, but similar projects without a big-ish and proven profitable tenant in the mix have generally failed, while those with such a tenant have gone on to carry more marginal-though-arguably-beneficial businesses and non profits with them. I get the focus on local, but if the market fails, how will it benefit local businesses?
Also, as a newer resident here, I have a question: hasn't Richmond tried somewhat similar sorts of marketplaces before? If they failed, can anyone shed light on why?
