David Allan Coe at the Hat Factory

Friday, Feb. 11

David Allan Coe has never been the biggest proponent of fitting in. For decades the long-haired, heavily tattooed, ex-convict singer and songwriter has existed on the fringe of country music, serving as a prominent but lesser-appreciated part of the outlaw movement of the '70s alongside Merle, Willie and Waylon. While he may not be riding his Harley onstage like he did in his younger years, Coe's as unpredictable as he ever was during live performances. Responsible for penning and performing such popular hits as “You Never Even Called Me by My Name,” “The Ride,” “Long Haired Redneck” and “Take This Job and Shove It,” Coe is scheduled to headline the Hat Factory on Friday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. $20-$25. 514-3849.
