Danzig at Toad's Place

It's difficult to imagine Glenn Danzig walking around outside on a sunny day picking daisies. Despite being long past the days fronting the horror-punk musicianship of the Misfits or the gothic heavy metal of Samhain, Danzig and his latest eponymous incarnation has only furthered his obsession with dark theatricality. Casting himself as a menacing, nihilistic ringleader and producing such family-friendly albums as “Backacidevil,” “6:66 Satan's Child” and “I Luciferi,” the outlandish songwriter is scheduled to bring his Blackest of the Black tour to Toad's Place on Monday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. With supporting performances by Dimmu Borgir, Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeleton Witch. $28-$30.
