Re: “Shockoe Standoff

I would like to suggest that from now on any citywide project that calls for the use of Tax payer $$ should be put to a vote by the People who live and pay taxes in the City of Richmond. Put it to a vote, put this to a vote in November and if the citizens of Richmond vote for it. Then it is a go!

Re: “The Promise

The real issue that came forward was not the class, race or parental make up of the current school board. It is the "fact" that school board policy and practice reads, that the Superintendents of the Richmond Public Schools (RPS) recommends the closing of schools. Not the school board. These three recommendation were made by the School Board, thus violating the school board own board policy. Also, the closing were shared as a way to 'balance the budget and save money?" How is this to work? Is the question that is being asked. A copy of the original or amended Plan C was not visibly listed on the School Board web site nor were there copies of the plan and map available at the second public comment session that was held. I know, because I attended the session. The decision has been made. The question being asked is how will it work?

Re: “Twilight Zoning

The "Original Plan C not assembled of the weekend. The one voted upon by the school was! The current school board voted on MAP C and a verbal description of Plan C.
Pay attention before you write!
