Re: “Mayor Stoney Announces a Commission on Monument Avenue Statues

I actually live on the Lee Monument Circle, and I have a suggestion: why not just remove the RIDERS, and leave the HORSES? We would have a whole street of gigantic horse monuments. Those poor beasts were in the line of fire without choice. We would keep 90% of the monument, remove the face of hate, while both respecting history and admiring some cool animals. -Brett

Re: “VOTE TODAY: 2016 Best of Richmond

Hello, Jason. I have responded to your e-mail. As you will note, there is nothing on the page or voting options to suggest this is a "write-in-only" poll. In fact, the only diction included in the ballot is "Don't see your favorite?". For any intelligent reader, this is an indication that there would/should be choices displayed. Please consider re-launching the poll with far less confusing diction. Thank you for your time.

Re: “VOTE TODAY: 2016 Best of Richmond

Hello. I will send the letter in, but I have now tested the site on multiple machines, all running the absolutely latest version of Windows 10. I checked using Internet explorer AND chrome. I also checked using STOCK android on my Nexus 5 which was purchased directly from Google, and is running the latest version of the OS. I have tried on both my local network, and using cellular. In addition, I asked my CUSTOMERS to vote for my event, and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them told me the webform is broken. While THOUSANDS of people have been voting, I imagine ALL of them were write-ins. For those of us whose companies are (I imagine) listed on the voter ballot, we have ZERO way to steer our customers to participate in this vote. I BEG of you to re-launch the voting system so it works, and the ballots are fair for proprietors whose stores and companies are nominated. I think the MULTIPLE comments to this effect, including Jill's whose comment has 21 likes would suggest the forms are broken. Please review the responses you have received, and I think you will discover ALL of your respondents entered write-in votes, rather than multiple choice votes. DOZENS of concerned voters cannot be wrong in this matter. Oh yeah, I was accurately logged in, I am an e-commerce director, a website manager, and have a computer science degree. I highly doubt this is user-error. Thank you for examining the results and (hopefully) re-launch the poll so it is fair and un-biased. Finally, my company is a regular full-page advertiser in your print magazine, so we DEFINITELY have a real interest in this matter. Thank you for your time. - Brett Carreras
