Restaurateur Kendra Feather’s first venture — started when she was in her 20s — got going on a wing and prayer back in the 1990s. It’s still going strong and its vegetarian fare remains popular with artists, musicians, students, professors and everyone else who needs meal without meat for a change. Vegetarians often have a hard time when dining out with friends. But at the Daily, carnivores can sit with their meat-eschewing friends in blessed harmony. While we recommend that vegetarians avert their eyes while their friend rips through that medium-rare Angus steak, they’ll have plenty to keep them occupied when a plate of Twin Oaks tofu lettuce wraps or curried lentils with quinoa, sweet potatoes and tamarind sambal sauce arrives at the table.
