We love that there’s a music shop in Richmond where you can make a mix tape, or as BK Music’s general manager, Kirke DaFoe, calls one, a “personal mix compact disc.” It means that we’re not that old, and that giving someone an actual disc containing a compilation of music you hope they love is a viable way of worming your way into their hearts. Seriously, no one has ever gotten laid by gift-wrapping a flash drive.
