Second Place: Mary Angela's Pizzeria

Third Place: Stuzzi

Voters say thickest is best, giving Bottoms Up the top pie prize yet again. This isn't pizza for the faint of heart, but for those who can appreciate a 12-hour process to make a crust that would be terrific eaten alone as bread, even without house-made sauces and toppings. The unique location under the train trestles can be noisy when you're sitting on the deck, but after all, you're eating Richmond's top choice for pizza on a deck, so count your blessings. You'll find a less bready pizza at Mary Angela's, the Carytown fixture with a constant to-go line at the register. But do yourself a favor next time and eat your pie at one of the tables. While you enjoy the parade of customers, you're bound to see someone you know. Stuzzi's true Neapolitan-style pizza is a place to go when you want a slice in a flash. That beautiful red oven turns out a supple pie in only 90 seconds.
