Voted Best American Craft Beer Bar two years in a row by craftbeer.com, Mekong is known as a haven for serious beer drinkers. Serious fun, that is. Owner An Bui is passionate about libations and does right by his regulars and the community, holding benefits for things as varied as typhoon relief to a Dave Brockie memorial. Not a beer lover? There's wine on tap too. (Not to mention some comforting pho available for any hangovers.) Bui becomes a double threat to the category when his brewpub the Answer opens beside the restaurant this summer. Balliceaux is a purveyor of scrumptious cocktails and killer bands. We aren't sure what's more creative — the drinks or the entertainment. Fan mainstay Buddy’s is still near and dear to your hearts.
