Behind every great anchor, there’s a killer team and Autry knows his is tops. “I’m very opinionated on my Facebook page and I reached a point about 10 years ago when I decided I just couldn’t play an anchorman anymore — so I was just going to be me,” he says. “I probably piss off just as many people as I please. If they don’t like it, well. …” But they do, of course, a fact proven by NBC 12’s No. 1 status in various ratings, Emmy-winning co-anchors and strong production team. “They are a big part of the pie we’re making and any success I have,” he says.
