First Place: Coalition Theater

Second Place: Comedy Sportz

Third Place: “RVA Tonight With Beau Cribbs”

Coalition Theater not only presents regular comedy performances and touring comedians, but also offers improvisation and stand-up instruction at its space at 8 W. Broad St. in the heart of the arts district. For 20 years, Comedy Sportz has offered a family-friendly theater showcasing improv comedy shows in a casual atmosphere. It also provides training and ComedySportz matches every Friday and Saturday night for $10 to $12. “RVA Tonight With Beau Cribbs” is kind of another vote for Coalition Theater, too, since that’s its home. The show bills itself as Richmond’s “only live late-night talk show,” and you never know who will stop by, including Richmond famous celebs. Its two-year-anniversary show ventures out of Coalition and into the Byrd on Friday, June 3.
