Live comedy, dead serious, right in the heart of the arts district. If you haven't caught any of Coalition Theater's live shows, you have no sense of humor. Case in point: in a world where movie spoilers run rampant and a single trailer can ruin an entire plot, there's only one solution, according to Coalition: Watch a movie that doesn't yet exist. Check out "Made Up Movie" night, stand-up night or any of the yuckfests on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. ComedySportz Improv Theatre in the West End does improv shows every Friday and two on Saturday for a double-dip helping of laughter. The Funny Bone books regional and national acts in a traditional comedy-club setting.
