Best Local Actress

Readers' Pick

First Place: (Tie) Liz Blake White and Melissa Johnston Price

Second Place: Irene Ziegler

Third Place: Tie: Audra Honaker and Laine Satterfield

There seems to be lots of love to throw around, because the local actress race is dominated by tie votes this year. Sharing the first place slot are Liz Blake White and Melissa Johnston Price. After wowing audiences last season in "Becky's New Car" and "August: Osage County," Price has balanced the dramatic role of Calpurnia in "Julius Caesar" with a comedic turn as Tibby in "Regrets Only." Local favorite White appeared in Richmond Shakespeare's original production of "A Child's Christmas in Wales," also appeared recently in the children's show "The Magic Flute." Veteran actress Irene Ziegler took the stage in "Hay Fever" and University of Richmond's "Spring Awakening." Audra Honaker and Laine Satterfield tied for third, with Honaker recently starring in Firehouse's "Time Stands Still." Satterfield, who also works for School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community, set audiences abuzz in last season's "In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play)."
