Born in Santiago, Cuba, Dr. Jo Bohannon-Grant immigrated to the United States in 1962. She was, well, motivated — valedictorian of the Hopewell High School class of 1976, Phi Beta Kappa at the College of William and Mary, in the top 10 percent of her graduating class at the Medical College of Virginia. So it's no surprise that she's been on the leading edge of dermatology since completing her residency in 1989. She's so good that she teaches other doctors. Her office in Midlothian was picked as one of 138 training centers across the country for teaching Botox techniques to other doctors in 2002. Dr. Eileen Kites, who founded Richmond Dermatology & Laser Specialists in Henrico County in 1982, offers a variety of cosmetic procedures, including laser treatments and peels. Dr. Georgia Seely, with Dermatology Associates of Virginia in Short Pump, specializes in skin diseases.
