It'll be front-page news if anybody ever knocks Millie's out of the top brunch spot. Till then, voters say they're willing to wait outside as long as it takes for the pleasure of an open kitchen and the devil's mess, the brunch menu's longtime star. We're betting readers also get into the kick-ass rum punch, known as Evil Keevils after the owner, and stellar Bloodies. It also helps that Millie's does brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays, not always a guarantee in Richmond. For a gracious, Southern experience, the Jefferson's Sunday champagne brunch is unparalleled for quality and variety. It doesn't come cheap (and gets pricier for holidays) but when nothing but the fanciest brunch will do, this is it. And don't even think about trying to go without reservations. Can Can offers a more continental take on brunch, featuring things as varied as quiche, crepes, oysters and tartines, all with a view of Carytown's street theater, which can be a little rough around the edges some Sunday mornings — but always entertaining.
