If you have a need to put the fun between your legs, look no further than Carytown Bicycle Co.

Since opening its namesake store in Carytown 13 years ago, this bicycle sales and repair shop has become a local bike culture mecca, with its website serving as a sort of all-purpose hub for information on rides, custom builds and reviews. Where else can you find a Richmond take on whether a Roubaix or a Domane is the better endurance bike?

Carytown Bicycle Co.’s staff is knowledgeable about all makes and models of bikes – including ones they don’t sell – and can quickly size up whether you need a minor repair or a complete overhaul of that old Schwinn you bought off Craigslist. For those in need of a new set of wheels, Carytown carries the following brands, among others: Trek, Cannondale, Yeti, Salsa, Linus, Electra and Bontrager.

Even during the pandemic, Carytown Bicycle Co. is still holding weekend rides from its Carytown and GreenGate Shopping Center locations: The latter also holds Women/Trans/Femme Road Rides on Sundays.
