Best Bartender

Readers' Pick

Becca Flaig

The Halligan Bar (West End), Lady N’awlins and F.W. Sullivan’s

Second Place: Beth Dixon, Pasture

Third Place: Mattias Hägglund, Heritage

Becca Flaig can’t figure out why she continues to dominate this category year after year. “There are much better bartenders in this city,” she says. Nevertheless, she’ll take the love. Guaranteed to keep you laughing with her quick wit, humor and copious shots of Jameson or Rumple Minze that magically appear, Flaig folks may not know she’s not only a full-time bartender but also a full-time student. So those generous tips don’t go unnoticed. “Thanks for helping me pay my way through nursing school,” she says. “I’d never be able to do it without you.” Purveyors of tasty craft concoctions, Beth Dixon and Mattias Hägglund, also get your attention and thirsty gazes. On any given day, these two are whipping up something new, original and delicious at their respective bars.
