Re: “Dominion's Chief Executive Wants to Redevelop the Richmond Coliseum

The city's doing well, right now. Maybe that's BECAUSE our omniscient central planners haven't managed to live out their fantasies with our money, rather than in spite of it. City's grown more without a sparkling baseball stadium than anyone could have hoped for. Turns out people prefer good places to eat and drink and walkable neighborhoods over $9 beers and mediocre sports. Maybe if our fearless leaders spent another couple decades sitting on their hands, we'd wake up and find ourselves in a truly great city. Invest in the places we live, the paths we travel, and the schools our children study in. The prosperity that drives sustainable entertainment options will follow those investments, not the other way around. Moving the Yankees to Richmond wouldn't make us New York. New York is what makes the Yankees what they are.
