Re: “Eye of the Needle

Really who cares about what she got back from her taxes? Just because these women are in jail and were heroin addicts doesn't necessarily mean they are are horrible people. Drugs make you do things that are selfish and you do without thinking because what is controlling your mind is the drug itself! The point of this article is for US the readers and everyone else around us to realize that HEROIN/OPIATE ABUSE is a huge epidemic in our society today. You can be raised right come from upper class whatever and you will still at some point be around drugs or whatever! It's not just the poor or the people living off the government who have a problem! Some of these people come from Well off families and just got mixed with the wrong people!! Being judgmental and breaking these people down for their decisions based on their addicts isn't going to help improve their life or help them see the good there really is out there for everyone and to make their lives better. I am speaking because my best friend is one of the women who was interviewed for this article. I sat and watched her destroy her life for 7 years I tried everything I possibly could and there's no helping they have to want to help themselves! and visiting her now in jail seeing how positive she is and how she's taking advantage of henrico's drug rehabilitation is awesome. I couldn't be more hopeful for her and how I know she can truly change her life into the great it's always deserved to be!
