Ashland, Virginia will celebrate Train Day on April 30, 2022, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Downtown Ashland Association hosts this free family event, which will feature freight and passenger trains, touch-a-trucks, model trains, local railroad history, kiddie rides, festival food, dance music, and more! Over a dozen fully-loaded freight trains and Amtrak passenger trains will pass through the event. Train models of all scales and sizes will be displayed along with vintage railroad equipment and a red caboose. The Ashland Train Day event is fun for rail enthusiasts of all ages!
