As the Crowe Flies

Rock 'n' roll got a little bit sexier in 1990 when the Black Crowes released their debut record, "Shake Your Money Maker," offering a blend of boogie and soul unlike the alt-rock and big-hair tunes of the day. Once heavily influenced by the Rolling Stones, the Crowes developed their own sound in subsequent albums, moving on to hard rock with boogie, blond starlets and fraternal infighting. They took a break after releasing live and best-of albums in 2000, but now the Crowes are back in action, ready to take the stage and seduce the masses. The Black Crowes perform at the Snagajob.com Pavilion Saturday, Aug. 4. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $16.50-$20. Call 794-6700 or visit www.innsbrookafterhours.com.
