Re: “VCU Police Report Spike in DUI Arrests

There is: Don't drive when you've been drinking. It's that simple. A drunk driver has already put at risk countless people by driving in the first place. It's easy for you to complain about police keeping the roads safe when you haven't known or lost someone thanks to a drunk driving accident. Did you bother to read the side if that police car in the photo? The heart decal near the back window contain the name of a VCU student that was killed by a drunk driver I think last year or the year before? Cops do their best to stop robberies, but they're crimes of opportunity which have killed less people around VCU than the drunk drivers you're defending have.

I think you can substitute any "minor" infraction in the place of u-turns. Besides, 5 minutes or less to be stopped and warned for something simple is definitely not harassment when these officers take guns, drugs, and drunk drivers off the street. What better things, I ask, would have them do than save lives and keep the public safe?
