From 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday, December 9th, poet Anne Poarch will be signing copies of her book, "Flight: of butterflies and robins and other winged dreams." The event will take place at Local X Ashby (across the street from Ashby) in Richmond, VA. The street address is 3007 W. Cary St, Richmond, VA 23221.
"Flight: of butterflies and robins and other winged dreams" is a thoughtful and beautiful collection of 48 poems chronicling the voice of a maturing young woman as she reawakens her heart and soul to the beauty of the natural world. She uncovers love, grief, self-awareness, and a happiness for which she is utterly unprepared. Bridging an out-of-doors childhood and the death of her father at age eleven, to a motherhood in which she longs to share all of nature with her young sons, each page will surprise and inspire you.
