Alison Self, Andy Vaughan and Slim Stanton, Roland J. Cole, Pat Reedy and Todd Day Wait’s Pigpen at Lovebomb

Sunday, April 6. 6 p.m.

And on the eighth day, God created food and music. Not being a biblical scholar, or a Christian, for that matter, I have no idea if that’s true, but I like to think it is. Whatever the case, there will be an early-evening pairing of the two otherworldly delights Sunday at Lovebomb. Attendees are encouraged to bring and share their culinary creations for a concert of acoustic music featuring the end-of-the-week hootenanny sounds of Richmond’s Alison Self and Andy Vaughan, Slim Stanton with Roland J. Cole from New York, and New Orleans troubadours Pat Reedy and Todd Day Wait’s Pigpen. In between the sets of live music and plates of food, DJ Cheyenne (Mary Heffley) will spin country classics on vinyl. The melodic potluck starts at 6 p.m. Admission is free with donations being accepted for the traveling bands. lovebombrva.com.
