The Steward School will play host to Kwame Alexander, a Newbery Medal Award winner and New York Times bestselling author.
Alexander advocates self-discovery for young people, engaging young readers with books that bend genres, from poetry and verse to music and lyrics. He wrote "Solo," "The Crossover" and 22 other books for young readers. He inspires students to look within as they navigate their lives and to make strong connections with people who will support their dreams.
The 8:15 a.m. presentation is geared to grades three through five. A second session will be at 10 a.m. for grades six through 12. Book signings for both.
