Re: “Justin Griffin, Prominent Critic of Coliseum Plan, Exploring Run for Mayor

I like the voters to have choices on election day. Thanks for throwing your hat in the ring Mr. Griffin.

Re: “Richmond Black Restaurant Experience Returns

I like the Marketing Partnerships and Networking to promote Richmond Black Restaurants. Owning and operating a restaurant is a tough business. I encourage everyone to SHARE this event on your FB page. As well as participate by enjoying great food and friendly people.

Re: “Five Takeaways from Mayor Stoney's State of the City Address

I agree that the roads and potholes have been greatly upgraded. The road teams deserve credit.
I am glad to see new school facilities coming.
I feel Richmond has a great vibe with restaurants and social activities. New construction and renovations are going on throughout the City.
I like that Mayor Stoney will address the process of getting building permits and paperwork done more efficiently.

Re: “OPINION: A Better Riverfront Project

I'd like to see a "mussel re-population aquatic center" in Richmond to revive the mussel population. Similar to this one in Charles City County. Mussels filter gallons of water per day. This will help to clean our water supply.

Re: “American Dreamers

A critic of this school, Monique Pressley, DC lawyer and radio host prefers that these children remain in the “failing” public school system because they, their parents and the corporate donors add a high level to schools.
So, screw these kids that are being served with the best education so they can be held back in a public school. Ridiculous

Re: “Safer Streets

My initial impressions of the Pulse bus line was that car traffic would have "Park and Ride" parking lots at convenient locations to park your car, then get on the Pulse and get to almost any corridor of downtown in 10-15 minutes. This would lighten the traffic in that corridor between Willow Lawn and Rockett's Landing. I figured there would be a large parking lot (safe and free) at Rockett's Landing area, Willow Lawn area, perhaps the Diamond to the North, and a lot somewhere along the Chippenham Pkwy/Midlothian Tnpk area. I would also recommend a new pedestrian/bike bridge be built across the James River to accommodate all the new residents that will be moving into the developing Manchester area. Perhaps some type of shuttle vehicles could use the bridge as well during rush hours, and Manchester/Hull Street would have a Park and Ride in that corridor. Furthermore, if the tolls were eliminated on the Downtown Expressway and Powhite Pkwy, perhaps more car traffic would use that thoroughfare rather than driving through the neighborhoods.

Re: “VCU Men's Basketball Preview: Rhoades’ Army is Prepared

I'm looking forward to the games. I expect VCU to win the A-10. I like that the Coach will use 10-12 guys. Their fast pace style is good, but not if the main players run out of gas as they enter the NCAA tourney.
