Re: “Food Review: Manchester’s Plant Zero Cafe Adds Dinner Hours to an Already Winning Lineup

I wish food reviewers, and for that matter Chopped judges, would quit harping on the lack of salt in restaurant meals. One reason I limit dining out is due, not to the cost, but the bloat factor. A well prepared protein, pasta cooked in salt water or a naturally salty cheese should provide plenty of enhanced flavor. The more people demand it the more of it restaurants will continue to add. Professional eaters consume so much sodium they constantly need to up their intake like an addict. Salt is not our friend.

Also, your mother made stuffed peppers with chicken, corn and black beans? Interesting.

Re: “Punch Drunk: Jack Gets Cheesy About Marriage

If only my daughter hadn't chucked chow as a little girl after a bad Taco Bell meal I might have been abe to convince her to go this route rather than the "expensive party" on August 5. Good Luck Jack.

Re: “Punch Drunk: Jack Ponders Massive Wine Orbs

Jack, if you don't like drinking your wine out of fish bowls check out Legend Brewing. They serve wine in teeny, weeny little juice tumblers. Not that there is anything wrong with that. As long as you aren't twirling your wine to check out the color, stemless is the way to go.

Re: “Weekly Food Notes: Jam-Packed Food Festivals + More

I saw Jason Alley on a national commercial for Duke's Mayo last night with Vivian Howard. That sounds like bigger news than an annual festival every other media outlet is pushing and you would have to be living under a rock not to know about. Where's the scoop Style Magazine?

Re: “Bon Air Residents Petition Against Goodwill

The elitist snobs of Bon Air should look on the bright side of this issue. Being able to divest yourself of unused household items to a conveniently located near-home facility is a blessing. I constantly have to trek over to the Broad and Horsepen location to drop donations off after a good down-sizing exercise at my house. I have never witnessed staff, customers or donors to be anything but a representative cross-section of America. Unfortunately that appears to be what scares these people.

Re: “Punch Drunk: A Grocery Neophyte

A smart, well-read, well-rounded, articulate guy like you doesn't know Almond Milk is a dairy substitute and thinks cauliflower grows in little pieces? Sounds like you were just having a man tantrum.
