Re: “New Independent Station Boomtown Takes Up an Unlikely Residence in Regency Square

This is great for Richmond radio. Nearly all corporate run radio stations have become unbearable, so this comes as a real treat. Also wonderful to see / hear Mr. Jeff McKee back on the airwaves. A legend of Gen-X Richmond radio, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: “Commentary: Go Slowly, Here Comes the Pulse

But Mr. Skidmark himself, Terry McCauliffe, insisted that Richmond jump on those use-it or lose-it federal transportation dollars to cram the Pulse project through. (Don't question that guy - he'd never dabble in questionable transportation-related decision-making, nor his predecessor for that matter).

I do seem to recall that during the carrot-and-stick Pulse proposal, there was some mention that such a system could perhaps set up a template of sorts for light rail along the same (and hopefully expanded) corridor in the eventual future. Any follow up to that, Richmond news reporters?

I do hope the Pulse proves successful and think that the rezoning designation along its route to allow denser development was wisely done. Fingers crossed it all becomes a Richmond success story.

Re: “Debate over Scuffletown Park brings a resignation and a review of rules

I kept waiting for something newsworthy while reading this article. It never came. Maybe an explanation for the flash-in-the-pan presidency of Ms. Toms could have been further investigated?
Otherwise, you've got yourself a scuffle for a story with some /any kind of meaning to it. Maybe the supposed hand-wringing will culminate to a protest, and then, voila, you'll have your beloved and favorite topic. You clever Stylers.

Re: “Most dog-friendly patio

Allowance for pups on patios = pups up on top of the tables, apparently. I'm sure no one will object.

Vasen = chopped liver? Why the snub?

Re: “Students Take Gun Violence Protest To Virginia State Capitol

Your point is equivalent to a fart in the wind. Speaking of complacency, *why* are left-leaning, would-be voters remaining on their butts during these times that those votes could be so vitally critical to causes that you espouse on these boards? Why, John?
Are you out there knocking on these concerned-but-apparently-not-that-concerned non-voters' doors, getting those butts in gear, in addition to hoping for change here on an internet message board? Good luck out there, John.

Nomvoters = hungry voters? In that case, Richmond is a great town to vote in. Any elections before Lavar's increased meal tax kicks in?
