Re: “Stone's Throwdown in RVA Announces Lineup for Sept. 21

Agreed on the lack of movement on the riverside bistro plans, Chugger. And while Stone was indeed lured with a sweet-heart deal, do note this mention above: '..with all proceeds going to local charities'.

Re: “Disc Dreams

Interesting and enlightening article on the upcoming events, as well as their history. Please note that it's Gillies Creek located in Fulton Bottom.

Re: “OPINION: A response to an opinion piece criticizing Mayor Stoney’s budget argues that city spending is not vastly disproportionate and we need to make hard choices.

We now learn that the author of this piece is considering running for the 5th district city council position. I sincerely hope that this does not happen.

Re: “Evolving Narratives

Always a pleasure reading your contributions, Mr. Slipek. The updated museum looks and sounds impressive.

Re: “Tracking Oliver Hill

'..that interference was sought on one or more levels by Trump and people in his campaign.'
The conclusions of the Mueller Report don't reflect that, y32. You can choose to not believe those findings, sure. Stick steadfastly to your loyalties at your own peril I suppose.

'In any case the sorts of things the Russians did could just as easily have been done by the Republican Party' coulda, woulda, shoulda?
Goading gullible Facebook users via fake organizations, leading to exacerbated political and racial animosities isn't the would-be dominion of one political party.

'...and domestic websites such as Drudge and Breitbart have been publishing fake news for years.'
And? If you're some backwards twit that tunes into those sources, that's your own issue. Nor have those media outlets cornered the market on fake news peddling, as has never been more clear with the recent revelations of the collusion case.

'He worked to try to solve the problem of racism which allowed Russia and the Republican Party to screw with 2016 election.'
And this is as much of non sequitur as the last sentence in your first paragraph.

I indeed read the entire piece (you're a very presumptuous fellow, aren't you?) and couldn't agree more regarding Mr. Hill's hero status. He was an extremely brave individual and one for whom I have great admiration and gratitude. It was an interesting article. The customary Nash snark sprinkled in for free serves as a detriment to an otherwise well told historic tale.
