Scott, I made the comment regarding posted links and succinctness. Thank you for the explanation on the Platinum LEED situation.

I personally am a big fan of older buildings of character, and particularly of the restoration thereof (one of the great things about modern day Richmond!). But having visited this particular one on different occasions over the years and seeing the rough and gloomy condition it was in, inside and out, the chopping block was seemingly the correct and inevitable choice. Either way, it's already gone. I too absolutely hope that that space ultimately holds something other than yet another surface parking lot.
