Re: “Teach for Richmond?

Teapot tempest- provisional contracts have always been around, during the 70's when there was a critical shortage nationwide many of the folks I taught with were provisional, particularly whose who had skills but no education training.

The truth is, not many folks want to teach in RPS.

Re: “Food Review: Sweet Teas

First review I've read in awhile that makes me want to go out- though I hate sweet tea. BTW deep south cornbread has always been dense and sweet in my memory. Umami's on Lakeside does dinners and their cornbread is excellent!

Re: “Cuccinelli Gets Nod From Fundamentalist Reality-TV Stars

I remain as unimpressed as if he'd brought in the Kardashians, or Madonna, or even a repentant Miley Cyrus.

I am not swayed or influenced by celebrities, particularly those whose talent seems to be performing natural behaviors like bearing children.

Re: “Remaking a Market

It doesn't have to be "special", it simply has to be a decent market for folks who live there- I would have to pass at least one great farmers market to go there and there's a wonderful play area at Lewis Ginter for kids, most of us have better and closer alternatives.
Design it for the increasing number of folks who live there, the rest of us will come when we get curious about it. And seriously- the parking blows and there is no public transportation worth using.
