Public Safety Day is a free, interactive and fun annual event for the Chesterfield community tailored towards children and young families to educate and prepare for emergency situations. Held during EMS Appreciate Week, the event has representation from local fire and rescue squads to familiarize families with emergency response crews in order to reduce anxiety during real emergencies. We also play host to vendors that feature different aspects of safety outside of the vehicles including helmet safety with free helmets for the first 200 people, snake bite safety and hand-washing techniques.
