Rise up early and run with your dog to benefit the Richmond SPCA. The day starts with a chip-timed 5-kilometer run and walk for humans only, followed by leisurely, dog-friendly 1-mile dog jog. Through the morning there will be a pet-friendly vendor fair at the Robins-Starr Humane Center featuring a kids fun zone and pet fun zone. Last year it raised more than $192,000 to help animals find loving homes. 8:15 a.m. richmondspca.org.
